GKC Architecture is based in Hastings-on-Hudson and takes a personal, hands-on approach to residential design. If you are considering a renovation or addition in the Rivertowns, start with your property, priorities and the questions you need to resolve.
A Regional Starting Point for Your Home
The Rivertowns are the starting point for GKC’s local residential focus. Hastings-on-Hudson, Dobbs Ferry, Irvington and neighboring communities are considered together here so you can explore the practice and relevant services without navigating repeated city pages.
One Studio, A Personal Design Process
GKC works from Hastings-on-Hudson. The first conversation should establish your property location, what you hope to achieve and which architectural services fit the proposed work. Existing drawings, photographs and an initial sense of scope help make this discussion useful.
From Feasibility to Construction
Architectural consultation and feasibility studies help establish a direction. Depending on the agreed scope, the work may progress through concept design, detailed documentation, permitting support and construction administration. Services, fees and timing are discussed for each commission.

Questions Before You Begin
What should I bring to an initial conversation?
A property address, a short description of your goals and any available plans or photographs are useful. Include your intended timing and budget if these are already known.
Can you tell me which approvals are needed?
The approval route depends on the specific property and proposed changes. This needs assessment before any timeline or outcome can be confirmed.
